HELLO~!

Thank you all for coming to camp! Because without your presence, there can be no camp. (Duh, who are we suppose to host the camp for, the air particles?)

We thank you all very much for going along with most of the stuff and co-operating (even though the entire committee pretty much died trying to get you all to be enthusiastic). NEHmind. Either way, I hope you all had an enjoyable time the past few days and that your experience at camp will help you and that it was memorable!

To the members who decided to forgo the night-walk, especially the baby sec ones; we're sorry for scaring you so badly! It was not intentional to give you nightmares and produce tears! We're not scaaaaryy! Puh-lease, you take one look at us goofballs standing around laughing like hyenas and you'll forget all about the make-up! :D

To the members who weren't scared and laughed at us; ]#(@%*#@&2:( Well, your bravery is good.

To the committee who worked hard in getting things done for camp even though we didn't have a lot of time to prepare with the carnival three days before camp and the intensive six hour training every week! All your hard work was appreciated and I thank you all very much!

To the seniors who came back; we missed you all~! Even though you were just suppose to eat dinner, play, relaxrelax. You decided to help us with our stalling and night-walk and all that tiring stuff. Your help and contribution was a godsend! I hope you all had fun either way while you came to visit! :)

It's finally the holidays! Though it does not seem much like a holiday since we have;

a. homework

b. practice

c. carnival

d. camp

e. other random activities

Never mind that, though. Hopefully, it'll all be over and December will be free for everyone! :D

If you put in the effort and the like to finish up all those things. Then really, free as a bird.

Just some details in case there are those few members who are a little out of the loop!

Choir's Calender:

~~9th November 2010 (Tuesday), 9am - 12pm; Music Room [Practice]~~

~~11th November 2010 (Thursday), 9am - 12pm; Music Room [Practice]~~

16th November 2010 (Tuesday), 9am - 12pm; AVA [Practice]

18th November 2010 (Thursday), 9am - 12pm; AVA [Practice]

20th November 2010 (Saturday), 7am - 5.30pm (?) [Carnival]

24th November 2010 - 26th November 2010 (Wednesday - Friday), 8am -- 10am; Gym [Camp]

29th November 2010 (Monday), 9am - 12pm; Music Room [Practice]

30th November 2010 (Tuesday), 9am - 12pm; Music Room [Practice]

If you miss any practices, do tell your SLs! Call them or text them before practice starts so that they know why you will be absent. And please bring your letter/MC the next practice. :)

Even though it's the holidays, we still need to wear our school uniform to school, so please don't show up in your choir t-shirt or PE attire, etc without your pinafore. Otherwise you'll be sent home to change and denied entry into school. -__-

Please hand in your consent form and camp money ($20) to Mrs. Goh by 16th November! If you're only showing up for camp on only selected dates, do tell Mrs. Goh as well. You need not pay for the full amount of the camp but you have to tell her so that she can give you the correct amount and so that the SLs won't be going, "WHERE'S XXX?!" on the day when you're like... in another country... or something. Yeah.

Do give all your allergies, food requirement, etc details to your SLs. :)

If you don't, there can be no prevention if something awful happens during camp.

Then no one will be able to enjoy camp! D:

*Very important! Obviously, when your SLs sends you messages or calls you concerning choir... and they are asking you questions or giving you information, it's only logical and polite to REPLY. It's very crucial for the SLs to collate reply, it's an acknowledgement; to know that you understand.

It's quite idiotic if I walk up to you and go 'Hey, are you going to the carnival?', and then you just stare at me, smile and walk away when you should have said, 'Oh, no, I have plans. Have fun though!'

THEREFORE... you should reply. Even if it's just a simple 'Okay.'

Because when something happens and one of you goes, "Well, I didn't know that we had to blahblahblah."

It's not the SLs fault when the situation was that they sent the memo out and no one response. In a situation like that, we can only ASSUME that everyone gets the message.

Won't assuming get one killed? Why, yes! But really, then only thing we can do is to assume since no one will reply. You never know if people get the information or not. Unless of course, you would prefer we spam your inbox, I'm sure both sides won't enjoy it.

Okay, the point is, REPLY AND PICK UP YOUR PHONE.

The hard life of an SL when you call a member to tell them something, they see you on Caller ID, freak out and hang up then ignore your later calls as well.

Ms. Winter is leaving KC on the 20th, and since she was one of our teachers-in-charge, we should do something nice for her. As such, we encourage all members to write a short message, gift or whatever to Ms. Winter and then give them to your SL on 16th November. We will put it together and it'll be awesomely awesome.

For the carnival, we need to change our choir notice board. We're not artistic geniuses who can crap out designs while planning camp and other choir situations, so we need people who can! Your help will be appreciated! Just little doodles or sketches on what you would like the choir board to look like. Give them to your SLs by 18th November if you do have any designs or ideas. Colour schemes too...

Oookay, that's about all my sleep-deprived brain can dish out now.

Omg choir! My first ever ever ever post here hahahaha -.-

Well I'm just here to tell you all that, now that there's a new conductor which is Mr Toh, I hope you all will cooperate with him!

DON'T give him troubles all right!? Talk less and listen. Last Thursday your mouths justttt have to be opened all the time and I really felt like strangling you all. :D

And remember that next wed there's choir from 1pm-4pm! Bring writing materials, water bottle (important!), and wear your pe attire WITH PINAFORE OVER IT OKAY! You're not allowed to wear pe attire without pinafore to school! I.D.C. no matter how mafan it may be to wear pinafore over to school, WEAR IT.

Also, have your lunch before choir okay! A cup of Milo is NOT lunch, you better go and stuff yourself with something full and will last you for 3 hours.

Fine I know I'm so naggy but too bad lah haiya you all sure forget something one. So I must nag.

NOT JUST SINGING THOUGH, BUT SINGING WITH EMOTION AND STABILITY.

VITALITY, ENTHUSIASM, FOCUS AND TO MOVE PEOPLE!

YOU HAVE TO BE SO ENTHUSIASTIC, THAT IT'S AS THOUGH YOU WILL NEVER STOP TYPING IN CAPITALS.

WE WHO ARE FROM CHOIR HAVE HELPED YOU IN LEARNING THESE SONGS.

Vera, Jacalyn, Joey, Erika, Shane and Sara have all been at assembly for the pass few days singing the songs. And we didn't even know how to sing most of the songs, we just Googled/Youtubed it the day before. ^^;

IF YOU ARE NOT CATHOLIC... Hum! You can either hum like "Hmm-mm..." or "Zzzzzzz..."

BUT FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE RELIGIOUSLY FINE TO SING.

WE MUST ENCOURAGE OUR FELLOW CHOIR PEOPLE WHO WILL BE PLAYING THEIR PIANO AND GUITARS AND SINGING ON THE DAY.

IT IS HARD TO SING WHEN THE MICS ARE RETARDED.

IT IS HARD TO PLAY YOUR INSTRUMENTS WHEN NO ONE TELLS YOU ANYTHING, AND WHEN YOU CAN'T HEAR THE PEOPLE SING BECAUSE THE MICS ARE RETARDED.

SO ENCOURAGEMENT IS WONDERFUL!

NEVER ENDING SUPPORT IS GOOD TOO.

Hey, I hope everyone's happy that there isn't going to be anymore exams for the next month or so. I also hope that your results were good. I know most of the Sec 3s are going, "WTF?!"

But it's okay, we'll work hard! :D

Now that the exams are over and that there are not going to be choir practices since school's ending; I have nothing better to say other than...

What is 67-41?

It equals to the number of people who have yet to give me the reply slips for choir training.

THE 26 OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT GIVEN ME YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIPS; SHAME ON YOU!

SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMEE!

YOU ARE ALL MORE THAN 3 WEEKS LATE.

LATE.

BY 3 WEEKS.

THREE WEEKS.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

You all know why.

It's because:

a) "I FORGOT."

b) "I LOST MY FORM."

c) "I COULDN'T FIND YOU."

d) "NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHING."

e) "I'LL SAY EITHER ONE OF THE ABOVE, OR ALL BUT IN ALL ACTUALITY, I WAS NOT BOTHERED TO HAND THE FORM IN."

And I have something to counter all of those options:

a) You were reminded multiple times. Whenever I see you, I'll ask you where it is. Messages were sent out to every single member by your leaders. Your memory is deteriorating, annoyingly so.

b) What do you do when you lose something? Do you say, "DANG, I better find it. If I can't find it, I'll just have to get a new one." Or do you say, "AH, whatever. Who cares about it."

I have extras, in case you were unaware.

c) I've been in school every single day since I've given the form out. I come to school around 7.10 and I leave about 2.45. I waste time before and after school. Not a good thing because I could be doing something more productive, but plenty of time to look for me. You have time to look for me before 7.20-ish. You have time to look for me after school, the latest time classes end is about 2.15-2.30. You know what class I'm in. You know you have leaders who can pass it to me. You had forever to look for me and just hand in a measly piece of paper.

So why haven't you?

d) When I gave the form, I said, "Give it to me as soon as possible. Preferably tomorrow or next week. I'm in 305, look for me. I need it ASAP, so please give it to me."

e) Your ignorance and inconsideration is so blindingly irritating.

It's going to be the last week of school already. I'll stop collecting on Tuesday, because I'll be going on holiday. (woohoo!)

So even if your reply slip is covered in chocolate or crumpled like it went through hell and back, or so awful to the extent that you can't possibly imagine, you still have to give it to me.

If you've lost it in some weirdness, look for me on Monday and I'll give you a new one, then you have to give it to me on Tuesday.

If you've already given it to a teacher or something, tell me which teacher.

If for some sort of strange, unknown, out-of-this-world reason that you do not give it to me by Tuesday; Ms. Nadira will hunt me down, and then I'll have to hunt you down.

I have officially stepped down.
(my sincerest apologies for this belated post.)

My four years in KC Choir has been, enriching, enhancing, fulfilling and simply awesome. In here, i made friends, for life, in here, i blossomed into a leader, in here, i found my second family and a second home.

There have been times when i felt down and out, hopeless, helpless and the state of being unable to make any decisions. i flared up, i had fun. Choir was a place that allowed me to grow, choir was a place where i can unleash all my inhibitions, and be free. Choir let me be, myself.

There will be days where you feel upset, or seem to be facing a setback or being helpless. there definitely will be, that is besides the feeling of "sian-ness" and "i-dont-wanna-go-for-choir" moments, but trust me, its good to go.

Now that the seniors are leaving, brace yourselves. there will be hard times, and hard nuts to crack. but in any case, i will always be here for you all. supporting you, giving you the strength you need, and simply loving you all.

BMW will be my "last" performance with the kcchoir..
feeling kinda sad... but well... gotta move on..

every year's the same when it comes to step down..
though i cant remember what happened when i was sec1,
but... i know when i was sec two.. i was mega blur cause i was announced to be SL.
and then the sec4s and the sec3s all cried and cried and cried...
going around hugging everyone i just stood there.. hugg...
hahahahaha!! funny.. but true... that's for me i dunno about the others..

then in the year 2009. i finally understood the feeling..
it's like the memories will finally take their seat in the memory chamber...
we cried buckets and buckets and buckets...
it's like we'll be parting forever...

How have you all been? Okay, I just saw you guys just now and yet, I'm asking this. Anyway, YES! The seniors are going to officially step down soon! They'll only be with us till BMW! D: Oh, and those who aren't going to perform for BMW, today was "byebye". :( Not to worry, for they will still be back after the horror of the O Levels! We wish them all the best, right? We really appreciate our seniors and want to say a ma-ha-ssive "Thank You!" to them. For without them, the choir would not be what it is today. Seniors, don't cry anymore!

How have you all been? Oh, on Friday we had our Sec 1 Orientation! Yay! Even though there were a few misunderstandings etc. We still pulled through, together! I can assure you it wasn't easy! But the love of KC Choir once again, played a big part in putting it all together.

Anyway, I would like to tell everyone that they were all fabulously AWESOME in every little thing they did. Not only the committee, but also the members. If not for you guys, there wouldn't even be an orientation! Thankyouthankyou for taking time to come on a Friday. I know it must've been really "sian" for some of you but hey! I hope it was all worth it. :)

HAY MA DARLINGS!

I would like for us to thank the sec three committee for all the hard-work they've put in for your sec one orientation 2010. Namely being, Ashley, Geraldine, Joey, Shane, Althea and Sara. They have put in a lot to bring you the activities, and you might have thought that it was "easy-peasy". but im telling you, its not. not at all, so lets put our hands together and give them a virtual round of applause! (clapclapclapclapclapclap)

and hay! its March in three hours! OMG RIGHT, WE HAVE SPENT THE FIRST TWO MONTHS TOGETHER. i certainly hope that these two months with us wasnt that bad...

OH BY THE WAY! i need to ask you all whether you want the old choir shirt, or do you want to have a new shirt with a new design. i personally would like to do something for the choir before i step down ( ): ) so maybe like during our term of leadership, we leave behind a new shirt for y'all. let me know what would you prefer can?

Hello everyone! :)

Yesterday we had our Sec 1 Orientation at ECP. Even though we had some problems and stalling, and it did not turn out the way we wanted it to be, I hope everyone had fun! Especially the Sec 1s! :) You are all part of the KC Choir family now, and after your experience at the beach, hopefully you'll feel more comfortable and at home with the rest of the choir!

Bonding is awesome.

Anyways, I want to thank everyone for all the effort and enthusiasm in the games and the whole event! The committee put in a lot of effort to plan everything and we're glad if you enjoyed it! Please voice out any feedback if you have any, so that the next time we plan something for choir, we will be able to take note of any of your concerns or suggestions while planning to ensure that you enjoy yourselves more! :D

Also, thank you for coming, even though it was so hot yesterday! After we came back, you were all sweating and relishing the coolness of the music room. Haha. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday! :) Thank you so much choir! ♥

Hello, the oh-so lovely choir! :)

I am here to deliver an important message.

It's CA week so study hard! Even though the CAs count for only about 15% of your overall grade, it still counts! And it is in preparation of the Oreos. (Oreos = O Levels)

Take your eyes off the computer or television screen for even just an hour to revise your stuff a little bit. And sleep early! Or make sure you take a nap the day before if you plan to sleep late... Sleep is important!

EXAMPLE: I didn't sleep particularly early yesterday and I felt really dead this morning, and to add to the fatigue and daze of the morning, we had to go running too! D: Yeah. And so I screwed up my A Maths paper. A little.

YEAH. So, sleep early! If you sleep early, you'll feel refreshed and your mind will be cleared of any nonsense other than things that actually concern the subject of the exam you will be taking. Study hard these few days, but don't skip choir... you heard what Mrs. Sng said this morning. Just because we're having exams, it doesn't mean that we do not show up for CCA. Even if you need a lot of time to study, it's okay! Choir will provide you with happiness and morale boosters! :3

Alright! Good luck to everyone these few days while you take all your CAs! :) Eat fruit!

PRO CHOIR!
That's what I've been saying this entire week. I've gone a little psychotic. Anyways, reading the last posts that Joey wrote, Joey didn't thank/praise herself! So I shall do that!

To Joey: Thank you for being giggly during choir, and putting up posters all over the school for the CCA fair! The toilets were in dire need of colour and ridiculousness. Also, thank you for trying so hard and putting so much effort and focus into learning the dance! :)

Haha. Okay, back to all seriousness. We've all had our fun this week with camp, field trips and for the Sec 4s, etiquette class and getting all dressed up. But next week, choir will resume as usual. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 5 and 3 to 6 respectively, in case you've forgotten. Refrainfrom eating potato chippas now.

This year is KC's 80th anniversary, and so we are most likely going to have loads more performances than we normally do each year. Other than BMW, EMDD and things in between like CNY and whatever, we'll be performing for the anniversary celebration, and the KL competition. I don't know what else there will be this year, but be prepared! Be proud to be a KC Choir member! Why? Because KC Choir is the most awesome and fantastic choir! Ever. After all the madness, dedication and determination, we did not attain that gold award for no reason. And because of that gold award, it gives us no reason to falter.

AND SO, we must sustain our singing abilities! :D Otherwise... we'll end up doing physical training in the hall again. Physical training in the hall was pretty fun and entertaining anyways, it wasn't that awful. The white horses galloped over our sit-up positioned bodies. And they galloped towards the GOLD. (gallop and gallop, and gallop and gallop~)

And to any random passing Secondary one who is interested in choir; the choir consists of dancers, drawers (not the type you put your clothes in) artists, crazy people, completely sane people and many other diverse individuals! You'll fit in just fine in case you're worried. Despite the large differences in personality and demeanor amongst members, the choir is one big happy family! Like how Barney sings it, though Barney is not the dinosaur present in choir, Carl is.

Choir members are loyal to one another and we'll be there with you through your difficult and happy times! Just look at the photos from our camp last year, you can just see the love and impulse ooze out of us. Auditions are on Wednesday and Thursday next week! If you are interested in joining this giggly band of cheerful people, please do come and try out! We'll greet you will pearly white teeth and braces, not fangs. :D

Blogger's getting a little screwy again, this post is a little messed up. Okay, today is a Friday; it's the end of the week. Time to relax and chill out a little bit. Eat all your fruits and vegetables! >D The second week of school has finally ended! Alright, enjoy your weekends everyone, and I'll see you next week! :)

Yay, I am posting for the first time ever! Oh, and I shall be part of keeping this blog alive as well!

Okay. I know this is really late and all but I too, wanna thank everyone for making the CCA fair a success! The performance, the booth/stall, banners, decorations etc. and everything! Everything was boomz! And like Francine said which I shall quote too like Joey did.
"CHOIR IS BOOMZ!"
I think you all kinda get the point, right?

Now... I would like to thank the fabulous committee for totally making my day on the 8th of Jan (: Yez, that day when we all stayed to finish up the decos and everything for the CCA fair. You guys really made my day you know!♥ Thank you for that and also for working so hard staying till almost about 7 just to finish everything! (even if we didn't really finish it all in the end) Thanks for the hilarious videos we all watched together on youtube, though one which was a bit disturbing, hahaha! Also, one day, we will all learn Wai Yi's Abracadabra dance!

Not forgetting the ~~great~~ ~~fantastic~~ AWESOME choir members!
You girls may not know it, but seeing all of you can always make my day :) Thank you thank you thank you for making the performance and everything all possible. The choir wouldn't be anywhere if not for it's awesome members and conductor right? So altogether, "GO KC CHOIR!"

Hehe, today's CCA Fair was pretty fun wasn't it? :)

Anyways, I'm putting the video of the performance here, for the people who do not have facebook accounts. :) If you want to skip straight to the surprise performance, go to 1.02~!

Yeah... It seemed like a number of people signed up for choir, so that's good. We'll be getting new juniors! We shall take good care of them! :D Haha. Anyways, I hope everyone had fun today! Even those who did not perform in the hall, I hope you had fun performing for the Sec 1s in the music room, watching us dance clumsily for the past few days and harassing other students.

Also, I want to apologize for being so late today! I feel very disappointed in myself. :( Okay, so everyone, have a nice weekend! The first week of school is over! The treacherous first week is finally over! Remember that there will not be any choir practices next week as there will be camps for almost all the levels, so we will only see each other again the week after the next. Hello everyone! :)

Just here to wish everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's 2010, a new year for change and whatever you wanted to do in 2009 but couldn't do! Like going to watch NC16 movies! XD

I want to wish everyone all the best for this new year! Keep to your resolutions as best as you can and look forward to each day as if it were your last! Seize the day and be a little more impulsive. But don't drink, drive or do drugs.

Okay, on the first day of school, around 4pm we are going to go to a nearby church (Holy Family) for practice because the annual beginning-of-school mass is happening the next day. Please remember to bring the scores that were handed out on the last day of camp. We sang through all of them quite briefly, but I hope all of you can at least get the gist of it and remember most of the song. Hopefully, there will be lyrics on the projection screen like usual. :P

So, bring your scores, your water bottle and whatever else you normally need during choir like support and mindset. Also, we do not have a consent form for this practice so please ask your parents or guardian to write a letter of acknowledgement for this activity! It is not a compulsory practice, but do make an effort to come. If you are unable to come, please have a valid excuse!

This practice is necessary because we just finished the holidays; some of you probably went bungee jumping and screamed your throats dry or something insane like that. We don't want to sound like turkeys during the mass. Thanksgiving was last month, not next week. We are KC Choir who achieved the gold award, and thus were shall not taint our reputation with turkey throats! :)

Hey-ho everyone! It's Ashley/shley-shley/Hershey/Baby Water. :)

I am here to help keep the blog alive during the holidays~! Mwaha.
Neways, we were guest choir at St. Joseph's Choir concert on Monday, 23rd November. We made many friends from SJC I'm sure. It was nice bonding, no? Also, a wonderful experience performing with them! Their effort and excellence at the concert was admirable. They're so friendly. I hope everyone had a fun and memorable experience at the Esplanade. I also hope that the roses Mr. Liew gave all of you are still alive. As some of you know, mine broke into half. :(

Back track. So, besides the fun and excitement, I think a valuable lesson we learnt from this experience is that while having fun, we should also have all seriousness into our performance and take it seriously because everywhere we go, we have to make a statement! KC Choir earned a gold at this year's SYF because we worked hard and not because of a fluke! Wiggles! We have to maintain our standard and not let anyone else think us less of a gold choir! Not that we should be bothered should we be judged and scrutinized. We are strong! :D

So lesson learnt from this performance is that we must conserve our voices, otherwise we will sound funky. And not in a good way. To conserve our voices means to not scream and giggle at everything visible. Thumbs up everyone! We were still pretty awesome anyways.

Okay, on another note. I really hope everyone enjoyed camp. It was really cool. Thanks to the wonderful committee for the brilliant ideas and determination to make this year's choir camp into a huge success! Thank you members for the effort and enthusiasm put into the activities!

my goodness...i hate typing but for your sake, i'll do it:) now...i guess my life in kc choir is coming to an end. i have so much to say..i dont think i can fit it all in here. but i'll try:)

first, thank you choir, thank you so much. i may be strict and not "fun" and always am very serious and everything, but thank you. you all taught me how to have fun and laugh and sing. even though sometimes i get very frustrated with you all, but looking back, without all those scoldings and irritation, i would never love you like i do now. so thank you, for teaching me to have patience, to love, and to be a good leader and choir member.

thank you also, sub-comm, for helping us so much. i know we have our miscommunications and you all have to spend alot of money smsing all the members last minute and everything, so thank you. you've done so much for the choir, worrying about them, trying so hard to make ur section as good as possible. thank you, for your service and passion to the choir. i will miss you, all of you:)

the main comm. thank you so much for everything. the times we spent together talking, planning, laughing, crying, i will never forget them. phoebe, you're an amazing president. even though you may not think u're much, but to the choir, and to me, you're wonderful. really and truly! seriously. as playful as you sometimes are, your passion, ur enthusiasm and your desire to improve the choir is so encouraging. perceyner, ur endless drills and want for precision is even though sometimes tiring, but its what keeps us going. thank you always pushing us to do better, so that we can reach greater heights. i'll always remember you, ur blur-ness sometimes and inability to "act cool" because you already are...you're amazing. elaine, thank you for encouraging the choir and helping us play the piano whenever we need. you never complain but always help without expecting anything. you're the pillar of the choir, and i really admire your selflessness for the choir. thank you!

choir, please treasure your leaders . they are all such wonderful people and they are all working so hard for you so please, dont take them for granted. listen to them, dont anger them, love them. we are one choir. only if everyone gives their all will we succeed. we need to be one. after all, we are one family. so let's not irritate each other or treat others differently, but love one another.

also please listen to mr liew. i know some of you think he's unreasonable, but please, listen to him and you will see that he makes alot of sense and that he truly loves us and wants us to do our best. mr liew is willing to help us be the best that we can be, so we should try to be the best that we can be too.

choir, keep pushing, aiming for higher ground. if everyone works together, hand in hand, helping each other, we can make it. we have that choice to make. are we willing to put in the effort, learning, loving and listening? its a everyday choice that we have to make. so please, even though we leave the choir physically, remember what we have said and keep the choir dream alive. keep working hard and singing as one voice. we will always be with kc choir.

My dearest choir members,

Are you completely elated that we have FINALLY attained that "supposedly elusive" GOLD? Well, I am super dooper happy! And seriously, I don't think words can even suffice in describe my happiness! But after being completely delirious for one day, and looking through a golden haze for a while, I obviously have need to thank a few people, which I think all of us should feel grateful for.

Firstly, our teachers-in-charge! They helped the committee in carrying out so much things and we are grateful for it. Really. And also an extra thanks for the delicious pizza! *winks*

Secondly, our very own KC choir! (duhh ...) Without your fantabulous golden pipes, and your "eagles' stares", and of course, your ever-so-strong mindset, we would not have achieved. As Mr Liew always say, "Choir is not only made up of a few people." I am so so so glad that all of us have stepped up to the challenge, and perform marvellously! I am really really really (x10) proud of you guys!

Thirdly, our dearest sub-committee! Some of you may think that the leaders are not good enough, but seriously, they are trying their hardest, and I really hope that you guys would learn to appreciate them. They are one of the BEST committee I had ever seen! (in my 4 years in KC choir, that is ...) Let us all give a round of applause for them! Wendi, Danielle, Janice Chiang, Ziling, Wai Yi, Andrea, Dawn, Nicole, Melanie, Nerissa and Deonn. With the exception of Danielle and Dawn, these fantastic people are going to be your next committee, and I am DEFINITELY sure that they will rise to the occasion beautifully! :D

Fourthly, our three lovely main committee members! *drumrolls* Perceyner (or more affectionately known as Percy), Elaine and Janice! They are the awesomest committee that anyone could ever get! Seriously speaking, without any one of them, the choir would not be where they are today. Each has contributed in their own special way. Percy always sacrificing her perfect ears to hear your incorrect notes. Elaine always sacrificing her perfect throat to provide us with our perfect note, and to ensure that sectionals ALWAYS go smoothly. And Janice always sacrificing her perfect sanity to keep the rest of us sane. :D But really, jokey attitude aside, they are really ... No words are good enough to describe their contributions to the choir. Please. A round of applause! CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP!!

Fifthly, our extremely talented pianist and English hornist! Miss Lim and Natalie! They are just completely awesome and have helped us to enhance our songs! Over here, we wish both of you best of luck in your future endeavours!

And lastly, but absolutely not the least, OUR DEAR CONDUCTOR, MR LIEW! He is completely phenomenal, and was one of the MOST important people, no, THE MOST IMPORTANT person in helping us to get that GOLD! He may be strict, and some of you may even call him mean and unreasonable, but seriously, he is the BEST conductor ever! If he had given up on us, who knows what we would get for SYF? *shudders* But on a happy note, let us all really thank Mr Liew for not giving up on us, for pushing us, for really helping us, for being there for us. im sure yawl having stomach/arms muscle aches and all after that PHYSICALTRAINING ON WENESDAY, it was so hardcore luh. HAHAHA.yeah anyways, thank yawl for participating okay,
and about tday.............Mr liew has been real nice to us okay, seriously. yseee very little conductors buying waffle for their choir during break times, treating them pizza and alll right, dismissing them early cuz he thinks yawl are tireD and i bet kcchoir choir has somehow trained his patience.AND you curse mr liew, dread every single practice when hes here and have those peabrain mindset where OHMYGAWD Mr liew is picking on me(think about where you've gone wrong instead, so that it doesnt hurt your brain).if another mr.XXX come, you will know how nice and patient Mr liew is luh.BY THE TIME ITS TOO LATE.TSK.

wow. its been really long since i blogged here((: ANYWAY, please keep your spirits up for choir alright? i know it may get tiring and tough with all the scoldings and polishing up the 3 songs. but trust me so do continue to work hard!once we get it right, you feel really good about it! we have 10 days to syf, remember to do your sit ups/leg raise/pusher-pushie etc.. you'll gain in 2 ways. NUMBER ONE, youll have a better support when singing and NUMBER TWO, daily work outs helps to keep you fit:D. so try your best to do the exercises taught by mr liew. like he said. if you havent started, its not to late to start now(: work hard for syf. We all want to get a gold. But how much are we woking for it? Seniors in SYF may think we'll only get a silver. We are KC after all, how to get gold?

I'll try to keep this short. Everyone of us must put in effort. We are singing in a group, but every single one of us is contributing, and it noticed. Are we each putting in our personal best?

You don't have to put choir as your FIRST priority. winning isn't everything.

but will you be satisfied with half-hearted effort?

will you have the feeling that all the time spent in choir was worth it?

choir CAN be worth it if we make every practice count.

choir can be worth it if ALL of us put in effort. i'm not saying you don't, all of you do try. for me, it's not the medal that matters. its the journey. it shows your attitude.

you can do much more. you ALL have the potential. are you willing to go the extra mile?

My dearest choir members.

This is the dreaded CA week, and everyone needs time to study, and cram in last-minute facts. And some of us get weary of the obstacles that the journey comes with. Trust me, you are not at all alone. However, I do hope that all of you will be able to manage your time and therefore, scoring our desired results. Well, easier said than done. So, whatever difficulties you have, or things that you just need to get off you, just let it out. You can talk to any of us. I promise, we'll try to be the best listening ears ever.

So anyway, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Choir members may not run the fastest, may not be the most flexible, may not be the smartest. BUT, they are strong. So my dear choir members, let your strength shine through! :D

oh oh, one more thing. after that hopefully motivational post, we need to get down to business:)

okay, we have decided to have sectionals after seeing that the last one we had was actually quite good. but we know you all are busy people, so here's the deal.

the leaders will organise sectionals on monday, tuesday and friday from 2:30 to 3:00 pm (that gives you alittle time to eat something). but you dont need to come for all 3 days (although we would really like it if you could and did). out of the 3 days, you choose 2 days that you can make it and got for those two days.

easy enough? should be right..after all, its just alittle of your time and it will really help, so please just make the effort to come. and if you have any parts of the songs that you are unfamiliar with, tell your SLs, so they can make a note and go through that during sectionals.

if you make the effort to come, these sectionals can really help both you and the choir, so please come. the leaders are giving up 3 days to help you, so do your part as a choir member, come and clear up whatever doubts you have.

okay, for monday, the sop 1s will be in the music room, sop 2s at foyer, altos at AVA. on tues sop 1s at foyer, sop 2s at AVA and altos at music room. and friday sop 1s at AVA, sop 2s at music room and altos at foyer.

yes...i think that should be all. sectionals start on monday, 2nd feb, so please start scheduling. okay then, thats all for now. please try and check the choir blog frequently because occasionally, announcements like this will be put up.

so, how has practice been? for those who have been finding it hard or stressful, hey, choir is meant to be fun okay, so dont stress yourself out too much. just remember what mr liew taught us, and apply it when you sing. of course its not as easy as it sounds, but im sure if we put in effort and stop being so lazy (yes, just admit it, we ARE super lazy) we can actually sound quite good and have fun:) so whenever you think of choir and go " ahh....so boring..so sian etc" just think of this.

what is choir actually? its a time for you to relax, to have fun singing and to make music with others! so dont treat it like a chore. if we dont look at it with distaste, we will find that it is actually really fun! so, like mr liew always says, we need to change out mindset and attitude! from one of "sian sian" to one like "choir is the best cca in the world! i enjoy it so much!"

i hope that for the people who actually bother to come to choir blog, you'll see this and decide to change the way you see choir :) maybe this wednesday i'll come in to a room of smiling faces enjoying themselves singing their hearts out!

come on kc choir, jia you! we can be a choir who enjoys singing and making music, if only we try, so let's put in that extra effort for choir and do the best we can!

yes, concert is over, we can now all eat funky awesome FRIED food. but dont lose your voices! because we will meet again, and then, we will be on to our song "i watch the white horses race over the sound..", THE WHITE HORSES! -gallops in rounds and rounds-

yes, and to add on to janice's post, let me share with you a story, and hopefully be able to motivate all of us alright! (:

A Price To Everything In Life.

There was this museum laid with beautiful marble tiles, with a huge marble statue displayed in the middle of the lobby. Many people came from all over the wprld, just to admire this beautiful marble statue.

One night, the marble tiles started talking to the marble statue.

MARBLE TILE: Marble statue, it''s just not fair, it's just not fair! Why does everybody from all over the world come all the way here just to step on me while admiring you? Not fair!

MARBLE STATUE: My dear friend, marble tile. Do you still remember that we were actually from the same cave?

MARBLE TILE: Yeah! That's why i feel it's even more unfair. We were born from the same cave and yet we receive different treatment now. Not fair!

MARBLE STATUE: Then do you still remember the day when the designer tried to work on you, but you resisted the tools?

MARBLE TILE: Yes, of course i remember. I hate that guy! How could he use those tools on me, it hurt so badly.

MARBLE STATUE: That's right! He couldn't work on you at all as you resisted being worked on.

MARBLE TILE: So???

MARBLE STATUE: When he decided to give up on you and start working on me instead, i knew at once that i would be something different after all his efforts. I did not resisi his tools, instead i bore all the painful tools he used on me.

MARBLE TILE: Mmmmmm......

MARBLE STATUE: My friend, there is a price to everything in life. Since you decided to give up halfway, you can't blame anybody who steps on you now"

the moral of the story is:

It simply means that the more hard knocks you go through in life, the more you'll learn and put them to use in the future! Do not be discouraged by setbacks and failures. Past is past, you can't change it but it is actually a blessing in disguise. Past was good, Present is better and the future will always be the best.

Similarly, we are all the beautiful marble tiles, and only after we let mr liew nurture us and guide us all, will we be able to blossom into the even more beautiful and appreciated marble statue.

I believe you understand my story, and when we meet, we shall strive together alright?!

I would really like to thank every single member of the choir for putting up such a marvellous job on wednesday! It wouldn't have been a success without all of your voices and I would like you all to know that as a choir, we would not have made it this far without all of your presence. wednesday's concert was magical, we managed to pull off most of the songs realllyy well, so thank you!remember okay, we must use wednesday's concert as motivation and reach for that gold next year!

Thank you PHOEBE too, for inspiring me, for always being there for me:) thank you ELAINE too, for helping me in my struggles with my music. and JANICE, thank you too, for being there to listen to me when i'm stressed.

since everyone posted, i thought i should too (although i already "posted" in the tagbox. but since im a nice person, ill post here too:)

well, first off, thanks for that awesome performence on wed night. it was really good, and although it wasnt a full house or anything, i believe we all put in alot of effort and well, it paid off. now u know what i mean by the magic that u experience when performing right? it was really really great and i thank you from the bottom of my heart that we managed to pull it off, our very first choir concert. i will remember it forever, and im sure u will too:)

for next year right, it will definitely not be an easy ride for kc choir, but i really really hope that we all remember the high and the happiness we felt after performing for this concert and keep pressing on to achieve that gold we all want so much.

even when we receive super much scolding and feel like pulling our hair out, remember that mr liew doesnt want to put us down but that he's trying to encourage us and push us forward because he sees that potential in us and he knows that we can do it if we try. since mr liew believes in us, we should really try and do it too kay? just like the song even such is time. mr liew chose it for us because he believed that we could do it, and even though it was really hard(and strange) in the end we didnt screw it up too badly. so if we try, we can do it! so next year no matter what happens, dont give up. no matter how much we feel like quiting, keep on striving, because like what andrea said, this is a must go through process to reach gold. excuse me for being so luo suo, but its like we are the clay and mr liew is the potter whos going to transform us into a beautiful vase. we will have to go through the fire and alot of pain, but it will be worth it because we will become a beautiful vase! mr liew once said another choir called him a magician, but in order for mr liew to transform us, we first need to allow him to do that, so we must change our mindset and allow mr liew to change us okay?

okay, after that loooong speech, time to thank people. we really really owe alot to PHOEBE u know, really. like u know sometimes u see her just running around, as if she's not doing anything, its not dat, she's so concerned abt the choir and she wants so much to do so many things for the choir, she just doesnt really know how. so dont look down on her, she's amazing and without her, i tell u this choir will fall apart. seriously. even though she is super stressed right, she's still so happy and cheerful all the time. we must really treasure her okay?

and PERCEYNER. wow. haha, for all the altos, u should know her very well. even though she's really strict music wise and always catches us for the smallest of things, she does it because she cares for us. without her, we would have super much scolding:) as vice chair of welfare too, she has done so much for the choir. shes constantly worrying abt u all and she always has ur welfare at heart.she's totally unique and essential for this choir!

ELAINE.our resisdent musical genius.haha:) well, its to her we owe all our scores and all the music related stuff, as the sop 2s know, she is absolutely needed to keep the section and choir going, without her, we are all lost. even though she's not always in front, she's working super hard behind the scenes so that we all know our music and that we dont fall apart during combined. we must treasure her okay and not take her for granted:)

and of course, we cannot leave out the SUB-COMM! all of ur sectional leaders are equally important to the choir and they play a really important part in keeping this choir going too.

danielle- she's always so cheerful that she never ceases to brighten the days of the people around her. even though sometimes things dont go too well, she still remains optimistic. because of her, we can learn to also be optimistic and to always look on the bright side. thank you danielle, for brightening up the choir:)

megan- she's super dedicated to choir. even though she wasnt performing for concert, she still came for every practice, slogging her guts out. the sop 1s owe alot to her, she always tries to think of how she can make sectionals better and how she can make the sop 1s better. thank you megan, for ur dedication to choir. we can all learn from u:)

janice- haha, small janice. even though we share the same name, we are so different! janice is really bubbly and always laughing and talking, helping to inject life and energy into the choir. never have i seen her sian, she is always full of energy. thank you janice, for making all of us laugh with ur energy and never ending enthusiasm for everything:)

wendy- hm..an emo? haha, no lar, even though sometimes she seems moody, shes not. you may think she doesnt do alot, but she wants to. hey, its because of her clapping that u sop 1s can keep in time and rhythm okay? she is an essential part of the comm, without her it wouldnt be the same. thank you wendy, that even though u appear emo sometimes, we know u are trying hard, and it encourages us to try hard too:)

dawn- even though she appears as quiet sometimes, watch out, she's actually thinking and observing. she may not talk much, but when she does, her words always knock us over. and her passion, wow! she really wants choir to do better and she always tries to improve the choir in the best way she can. thank you dawn, for ur passion. we (or at least i am) are inspired by it:)

andrea- haha, only recently have i realised how enthu this girl is. i still remember, during camp one night, she and anne i think came and sat beside me and they started giggling, for no reason at all! but seriously, we have seen a real change in her. she started off as a quiet girl, but now she's trying so hard to help the choir to have more energy, as can be seen from her post. thank you andrea, ur dilligence has really helped me to be enthu too:)

zi ling- my goodness, what to say! she is a one in a million girl, who really really loves choir and wants to do so much to improve it. she is willing to stay back, no matter how late, to learn the songs shes unfamiliar with so that she can teach it to the sop 2s. i remember teaching her and some other section leaders even such is time once. she was so hardworking and wanted so much to learn it properly so that she could teach it. sop 2s, u better treasure her, she is a gem!thank you zi ling, for everything uve done for the choir:)

wai yi- our cosplayer (although ive heard that shes tired of cosplaying already) well, another one who seems quiet but actually inside, she really wants to help the choir. shes always punctual if not early for anything choir-related and hey, when she leads, its amazing! i remember her leading warm ups once, and i was like wow! she is blooming into a wonderful girl and leader and im so glad that she is part of this commitee. thank you wai yi, and continue blooming into a woman we will all be proud of:)

deonn- haha, another super high one. im sure everyone, especially the alto 1s, know how passionate she is about choir. i know she always msgs the alto 1s as soon as we give the msg out and it really warms our hearts to know how efficient she is. she may not come up front very often, but im sure everyone knows how much she loves choir and that she really wants the choir to improve. thank you deonn, that even though u may not be very loud, but ur love and passion for choir shines through:)

nerissa- our super loud super star! well, i dont know where to begin. she doesnt have it easy, she is much more stress than she lets on, yet she still tries her best to learn all the songs and does all she can to help the choir. when she doesnt know the songs very well, she will ask me to stay back and help her. whenever the altos go off, she will tell me and ask me and percyner to tell the altos. she may not show it alot, but she cares soo much for the choir. thank you nerissa, that even though u have so many commitments, u still make time for choir and tries ur best to make this choir the best ever:)

melanie- hm...lets see. she is a really lovely girl who's really on for choir too, and she tries to do all that she can for it, so sometimes it comes across as proud or whatever. but she doesnt mean it, she just wants the best for choir. she always plays the piano for us and is always so high and enthu for choir that we become enthu too. i remember once, she and nicole were dancing when we were singing everything and it made all of us laugh. thank you melanie, for bringing us hapiness and for ur passion:)

nicole- mushroom girl! haha...the blur-est one of all, but we still love her. even though she can be super blur sometimes, she still tries her best to make the choir enthu by entertaining them. we can really see her passion and her want to make the choir more alive and we cant help but feel grateful and happy when we see it. thank you nicole, for everything- from ur mushroom songs to all the antics you do to make the choir more high:)

well, choir, u see what all ur leaders have done for you? they are all working so hard to make this choir better, but without u, its impossible. so will you work together with us, so that we can ,together, improve this choir and make it the best choir in the world? like i said, we can do it, but everyone needs to want to do it. everyone is essential in choir, we need everyone of u to be 100% passionate for choir to be able to do it. we are willing to work hard, are u willing to work hard with us? like perceyner likes to say, we are all in this together! so i'll leave it at this. do u all want a gold next year? more than that, do u want this choir to be the best, that when ppl hear kc choir they will go" wow...good choir"? becuase it is only with all of u wanting this that we can achieve all we dream of. my psychic-ness tells me that someday, KC CHOIR will become famous. Renowned maybe? (woah woah powerful word leh)
with the help of toodling (nvr, EVER underestimate that word. Its getting famous alr) :D

Well, all that i wanna say has already been said so.. i shant waste anyone's time. Only one comment. ZOMG. YOU LDRS ARE SO ENERGETIC MAN! ahahah. i was slping like a pig when u guys blogged. :x -half guilty half innocent look- but i really had a good sleep.

This concert sure was a success but it is a just stepping stone towards our real goal. (suddenly, words start to descend from the sky) -TO BE FAMOUS-
Our concert has certainly made us stronger, more confident and definitely more bonded, which all the more means we shouldnt fear next year's SYF. It will be a tough ride ahead (i assure you)but if it wasnt challenging, it obviously wouldnt be called SYF already.

Everyone knows that SYF is challenge. But what kind of challenge is it? Impossible? Tough? Labourious?

Conscience speaking: NO. NO WAY MAN. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. WE'RE THE ALMIGHTY SINGERS! THE NEW ARISING STARS!
Impossible is nothing, as nothing is impossible!
Nothing can be tougher than sleeping in the same room as a cockroach!! D:<
Nothing can be any more labourious than writing when we have computers :S

Okey dokey. Before I leave my home sweet home, and bid farewell to everyone and everything from Singapore, I MUST leave a letter for my beloved choir, so bear with me for awhile. I think it is the pre-flight jitters and blues.

Dear KC choir,

Phoebe here. I am really really really proud of all of you. In the period of time before our concert, we slogged, get scolded, and perhaps, even crack under stress. BUT we pulled through, and we really performed. Yes, it might not be SYF standard yet, but ... nonetheless, it was a SUPERB concert! But, I do need to make a few thanks, for those who worked behind the scenes, and of course, center stage.

Firstly, I would like to thank the sub-committee, who are your SLs. They taught you the song, tried to polish any rough edges, and suffered scolding that was rightfully not theirs. They are an awesome bunch of people, whom I trust, will be an excellent team next year, when we biggies step down. I sincerely do hope that you will learn to cherish them. It is really hard to stand up there, and start to teach them songs that you have not seen before yourself. Trust me, it IS hard. But they pulled through. Nobody is perfect, and your SLs might be lacking in certain areas, but I do hope that you forgive them, and I trust that with time, they will improve and grow.

Secondly, I MUST MUST MUST thank the main committee.

Elaine came back and sang the concert, albeit her sudden change in schedule. It was really amazing of her, and she had done so much for the choir; she took ages and ages, printing scores, giving them out, printing scores, giving them out, printing scores, giving them out, ... You get the idea.

Janice, well, she does live up to her councillor status. She keeps us all at the right track with her grounded nature. Although at times, she might be slightly late (ahem ... :)) but she is really a fab person. Without her, we would be like helium balloons with no strings. Get the imagery? Yeah, she is that fab. And in addition, she is responsible AT ALL TIMES. The choir must have responsible leaders in the future, ok? *Hinting those who have leadership qualities*

And lastly Perceyner. Oh, where do I start? Her wacky personality helps us, especially me, to tide over the stress, so that I don't reach my end point. And being the vice-chairperson of welfare, she is really doing her part. You guys may not see it, but to tell you the truth, you have NO idea how much she really cares for the choir. Always thinking of how the choir will think, how the choir will feel ... She is one hell of a woman (pardon the unladylike language), and a really really good friend.

Thirdly, we must, of course, thank the larger-than-life Mr Qiu. (seriously, no pun intended) When we were all feeling blue, he cheered us up. ALWAYS entertaining us with his, *ahem*, jokes, he never failed to make us laugh. He is an AWESOME pianist, (hmm, can be compared to the fictional Edward Cullen) and it is WOW. He played a part in making the choir a success with his patient and entertaining guidance.

Fourthly, *drumrolls* MR LIEW! I do hope that all of you learn to cherish him. He is a top-notch conductor, and will always be a top-notch conductor. He had nurtured many other choirs into Gold choir, and I do hope that KC choir will be one of that choir next year. He had done it, so the problem lies with us. KC choir, we must show more enthusiasm and passion about choir, you hear? Only with the right dosage of enthusiasm and passion, a dollop of chemistry between the choir and the conductor, a spoonful of intelligence, and a cup of anti-pitching problems, will we then see that Gold rise from our cauldron. :)

And lastly, the choir. I know that you are upset at a lot of things, and I sincerely apologise to all of you. We were unprepared and we were like deers caught in a headlight. We really did not know what to do. I really regret this grave mistake that we committed. But I do hope that you will forgive us, and not spend your energy on being angry and upset with us, but instead, channel it to getting that Gold next year. KC choir had not gotten their Gold yet, but YET is the keyword, 'cause watch out people! KC choir is going to rock on that stage next year! :)

Oh, one last thing to add, before I bore all of your eyes off your sockets, I forgot to do this last night, but I guess, a virtual one will do too.

2 MORE DAYS!

I do hope that the choir is psyched about the upcoming concert ... whatever displeasure you have, do voice it out! But just to make a few things clear, hair and makeup on concert day is free and easy. Do whatever you think is best or nice, etc. but for the first half of the concert, NO fringe is allowed, sideswept, bangs, blah blah blah. Try to look neat and tidy for the first half. For the second half, you may have fringes, but due to the fact that we are dancing, I do hope that all of you try to keep all you hair up. It will not be nice when dancing mid-way, that your hand reaches upwards to sweep your fringe away.

Anyway, that's the physical part. My dear choir members, please take care of yourselves in this period of time. Drink loads of water, and if your throat feels uncomfortable, do pile on the honey. Try to stay out of the sun, and please please please try to abstain from oily, fried and spicy food! It is only for two more days!

Hey everyone. This is Phoebe. I think this post is overdue donkey years ago. There are so many things I want to say, so brace yourself guys.

Firstly, I would like to apologise to everyone, not only the committee, but also the members. It is because of my irresponsible nature that caused everyone to bear the wrath of Mr. Liew. He was right in scolding us, especially me. But, I would really like to say a huge sorry. It is because of my procrastination that caused the delay in so many things, and hence, causing Mr. Liew to feel frustrated. A good leader should not act in this way, what's more ignoring the problems in front of me. So if tenth time is a charm, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.

Secondly, I must say that I did not play my part at all in boosting the already low morale that the choir has. I probably made it worse. By acting oh-so-emo, it probably wasn't the key in making my members happy. If I had the ability to turn back time, I would change the pathetic thing, which I called leadership, and turn it into true leadership. I just fervently hope that my realisation would not be too late, and I can still play my part as a chairperson, so that when my members walked out of the music room, there would be a beatific smile on their faces, a light bounce in their steps, and their hearts soaring, just like when they had just accomplished something so magnificent.

Lastly, I will talk about positivity. If my whole post compromised of just negative stuff and apologies, then it would be not very moralising. So, I guess that the comm has already included enough quotes for you, so I shan't bother with any more, or you would be laden with too many. But, I really do hope that all of you would have smiles in their faces when you are singing. I know that it is hard to smile and sing at the same time, but I try my very best. Although I don't show it, but I do badly want our very FIRST concert to be a roaring success. The thundering applause, the whistles, and the raw admiration from the audience. It is something that can't be bought or faked. Do observe. After every performance, the performers' expressions are really a Kodak moment. I feel it too. Whenever I finish a performance, be it a choral performance, a dance performance, or even a drama performance, my heart would thump as loudly as the applause, and my face would feel like it would break from too much grinning. I do hope that for this concert, you will feel the same way as me. Heck the sweat that is rolling down your back! It is the sweat of sheer hard work. Heck the uncomfortable dryness at your throat! It is the dryness of a true magnificent choral performance. Heck the goofy grin on your face! It is the grin when you taste the sweetness of success.

Okey dokey. Enough yakking from your extremely talkative chairperson. Just do hope that all of you know one thing. Choir is a team thing. EVERYONE is needed. Regardless of your pitch or your face, you are still part of the KC Choir. Members of KC Choir are always proud to be part of the KC Choir. BECAUSE WE ARE KC CHOIR!

Hey Members,

This is the checklist for next week's choir concert. Please take note.

Things to bring:
1) Choir Costume
-Blue Dress and White
-Red Shirt and Tie (to be given on monday)

2) Shoes and Black Socks

3)Makeup Set

4)Water Bottle, Lozenges or things tht can soothe ur voice.

5)Scores (in case you'd like to read ur scores during the break)

6)A little bit of food, in case you're hungry. Please do not bring any fried or any junk food. Any food that's harmful to ur voice on that day WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AND WILL BE CONFISCATED!

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll continue adding if I think of any xD

HELLO KC choir people!!!! this is danielle((: i know this blog has been quite dead for A LONG TIME, but im here to revive it. hahhaah.. first of all, i just want to remind all you choir people to
TAKE CARE of yourself as the concert is approaching in 5DAYS. please do the following alright?

Things to do:

1) drink PLENTY of water(plain,honey etc)
2)CONSERVE your voice(refrain from screaming your lungs out at ANY circumstances)
3)READ your scores and please MEMORISE(you dont want to be blur on stage)
4)PRACTICE the 10 points on your face(look into a mirror and do it if neccessary)

AND lastly,
just do your best!
watever the outcome of this concert, take it positively and work harder! im sure this concert would be a success if we all put in effort and do our best. please try and do the 5things i have listed above. there are many other things you could do but i just cant remember>.

This is Queenie here! Congratulations to all the newly elected sectional leaders and the executive committee- Perceyner, Janice, Elaine and not forgetting the chairperson of choir in 2008, Phoebe.

All four leaders in the executive members have showed excellence in leading the choir since 2007. I really hope all of you will give them your utmost support by listening to them when they need to be heard and to give them any feedbacks or comments they should know to improve on themselves as a leader.

Hey everyone! It’s finally my turn to leave choir. Time flies really really fast doesn’t it? Haha. I’d just like to say thanks to everyone for just being in kc choir. Just by your presence it has already made it a difference in my choir experience.

To all the people that are still in choir: do not be afraid to sing out loud. I remembered I was once terribly afraid to sing out loud and to open my mouth. Don’t be. Also don’t say that you don’t have confidence. Mr liew once said “confidence comes from within and without” (actual quote) so be brave and sing! That’s the only way you can really improve(:

To my sop1 leaders: so fast! It’s your turn to lead. The sop1s isn’t really a big group like the sop2s but still they are a rather talkative bunch. Don’t be afraid the “shush” them. Haha. Also, don’t be afraid to tell someone they’re off. I was once afraid of doing that because I thought the person would start hating me. However, nobody hated me. Haha. Be nice though, don’t tell them rudely. (not sure why I’m telling you guys this but just in case you needed help in that factor. Haha. I’ll come by to visit soon. When I find the time… …

To my dear darling sop1s: don’t bully your leaders. Don’t talk when they are talking. Especially “the giggling club”. I know you all tend to be bored sometimes (all of you have stoned faces during sectionals) but just bare with it. Once you finish learning the song, it’s done. Respect your leaders. Don’t always complain about what they are doing. Sometimes they have no choir but to do it the way they’re doing it. Please be understanding towards them k? they’re new. I’ll miss you guys loads. Haha. Next time when we have section bonding and we play that bear bear game again… I so wanna be the bear!!!

To the new choir leaders (Phoebe, Perceyner, Elaine, Janice): thanks for the chocolate, letters and the cake! Really touched! Like Crystal, I thought you were going to throw things at us. Haha. I didn’t expect anything but I’m glad you did what you did. It marks the end of my choir life perfectly. Haha. Not making much sense anymore.

THANKS EVERYONE! For the cake, the card, the letters. THANKS! My life in kc choir has been fruitful and memorable. It is in kc choir that I learnt to become a better singer, a better leader and a better person. I hope all of you will learn something from being in kc choir. Not just for the cca points I hope. Sigh. I’ll miss all of you and you all BETTER MISS ME!!!

So, i guess it'll be something similar.

Firstly, thank you for thursday!
For locking us out of the music room because of the cake, and your lovely lovely gifts.
(We actually thought you all were gonna throw flour at us!)
After these 3years plus, we are finally going to step down.
Like Mr Liew said, its like this every year, the sec4s will have step down and move on.
But of course, we'll be back to visit! PROMISE :D
